Routinely follows prescribed cleaning procedures in an effective and efficient manner so that all assigned areas of responsibility are maintained in a proper sanitary condition.
Effectively and efficiently cleans each operating room between cases.
Follows recommendation practices for Terminal Cleaning at the end of each day.
Follows proper infection control and safety practices in the performance of all duties.
Properly uses and maintains all housekeeping equipment, supplies and facilities.
Assists nursing staff in the lifting, moving, and transporting of patients.
Restocks clinical supplies and assists in the distribution of clean linen as directed by the nursing staff.
Performs and Logs DART and Spore Tests
Performs cleaning of spills and other accidents and otherwise assists the nursing staff as required in order to ensure the ongoing sanitary condition of the Center.
Follows the Center policies and procedures in the proper handling of infectious and non-infectious waste and linen.
Participates in Quality Improvement and other committee functions and in-service programs as requested.
Completes janitorial tasks as needed.
Job Qualifications
Must have one year of relevant work experience
Must have the ability to work in a team and independently under supervision
Must have excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
