Operating Room Registered Nurse – Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Flexibility to function in a circular role effectively delivering perioperative care to our surgical patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation 
• Desire to put in a hard day’s work and feel fulfilled with the medical care that you provided your patients. 
• Effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (including Surgeons & Anesthesiologists) in coordinating the plan of care and facilitation of patient outcomes 
• Possess critical thinking to problem solve, advocate and deliver the highest quality of care for your patients 
• Follow proper infection control and safety practices in the performance of all duties 

Job Qualifications

• Two (2) years of clinical experience in an Operating Room required 
• Current licensure in the State of New York as a Registered Nurse 
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred 
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required 
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required 
• Child Abuse and Infection Control Certification Required 
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is a plus 
• Multi specialty ASC – focus on Ophthalmology and GI a plus 
• Flexibility to work Sundays (rotating schedule)
