Job Responsibilities
- Flexibility to function in a circular role effectively delivering perioperative care to our surgical patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation
- Desire to put in a hard day’s work and feel fulfilled with the medical care that you provided your patients.
- Effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (including Surgeons & Anesthesiologists) in coordinating the plan of care and facilitation of patient outcomes
- Possess critical thinking to problem solve, advocate and deliver the highest quality of care for your patients
- Follow proper infection control and safety practices in the performance of all duties
Job Qualifications
- Two (2) years of clinical experience in an Operating Room required
- Current licensure in the State of New York as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Child Abuse and Infection Control Certification Required
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is a plus
- Multi specialty ASC – focus on Ophthalmology and GI a plus
- Flexibility to work Sundays (rotating schedule)
