Orderly – Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Routinely follows prescribed cleaning procedures in an effective and efficient manner so that all assigned areas of responsibility are maintained in a proper sanitary condition. 
• Effectively and efficiently cleans each operating room between cases. 
• Follows recommendation practices for Terminal Cleaning at the end of each day. 
• Follows proper infection control and safety practices in the performance of all duties. 
• Properly uses and maintains all housekeeping equipment, supplies and facilities. 
• Assists nursing staff in the lifting, moving, and transporting of patients. 
• Restocks clinical supplies and assists in the distribution of clean linen as directed by the nursing staff. 
• Performs and Logs DART and Spore Tests 
• Performs cleaning of spills and other accidents and otherwise assists the nursing staff as required in order to ensure the ongoing sanitary condition of the Center. 
• Follows the Center policies and procedures in the proper handling of infectious and non-infectious waste and linen. 
• Participates in Quality Improvement and other committee functions and in-service programs as requested. 
• Completes janitorial tasks as needed. 

Job Qualifications

• Must have one year of relevant work experience 
• Must have the ability to work in a team and independently under supervision 
• Must have excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment 
• Flexibility to work Sundays (rotating schedule)
